I have not seen better pricing and bought mine a year ago with small discount. But if you decide to Build a Teardrop, you will spend more for Varnish, Trailer, Electrical, Supplies and Tools as you go.

Don’t skimp… all those hours of work and you don’t want it to look “cheap”… just my 2 cents worth. Well up to about $5K now all in…

Adam, I like your stain color… what did you use?

The Strip that gets attached with SuperGlue and a “Rubber Mallet” worked well once I figured out that firm touch with rubber mallet was acceptable. There are “Spring Fingers” inside the channel and are likely meant for thinner edges.

As for the Foam Tape, I thought the firmness was just fine. I attached it before all the varnishing was done (touch ups mostly) but managed to get some Varnish on the Foam Gasket. I think I will replace it once everything is complete. This will look better and at $3.50/roll at Lowes, I can waste a little if needed or downsize slightly to fit around doors more evenly.

    Hope this helps.

I’d be happy to discuss the process. I am in DFW Area and about to finalize my build… just a couple gasket “leaks” to address then done… tom@buddsales.com

I have just completed my NT Trailer and will be adding Bearing Buddies. These were originally used for boat trailers so if you put trailer into water when bearings were “hot” the bearing buddies would compress to keep water out… great small safety expense…

A\Where did you  mount the Teardrop? All the way back or more to middle? That is my concern right now. I am thinking about putting battery in Storage Box if tongue is too light…

I think it is a great idea but not to rely on for your living. For the record, I have spent about $4K so far… Kit, Northern Tool Trailer, Roof Rack, Skylight, a few tools and additional epoxy. I am guessing I am about 150 hours… maybe cash raising “hobby” in retirement? A couple boats too??? I think $12K is more appropriate price.
