Wondering if anyone has added an interior lock to the doors, so you can lock yourself in at night? Also, how do you lock the trailer so it doesn’t roll away (or get rolled away) when you leave it at a campground, for example? thanks.
Here are few pics of the “lock” I have on my camper.
It is work in progress as I am planning to modify it by using a coarse thread screw, and I will embed the corresponding nut in the door sill. This way I will thread steel to steel rather than steel to wood.
This locks the trailer an also serves as a chock. If the tire rim is too small for the pinchers add a short pipe nipple. I also have a lock on the hitch pin.
These recent posts about a locksmith look like commercial bot spam to me. Two separate individuals linking to the same locksmith web site and one of the accounts is somehow Anonymous and “inactive”. Not sure how to get the attention of a mod or admin to look into this.
OK, I guess that when a spam user account is deleted the posts remain but get assigned to “Anonymous”. The last locksmith post was by JustinWinslow (http://teardropforum.com/forums/users/justinwinslow) but that account no longer exists. Thanks to whomever cleaned it up!
For my RV, I have a Ristow door lock. I loved how the basic design of this lock makes it simple to install and operate. As a result, this gadget is ideal for non-technologists who just want to safeguard their RVs without having to worry about putting codes into security equipment. In terms of installation, I was able to complete this model in less than 10 minutes.
