Well things are starting to warm up here and I am going to take the camper out of storage soon. I was wondering what sort of yearly maintenance everyone does to keep things working well and looking good. I suppose the biggest question I have is should I consider renewing the finish on the wood?

If you applied several coats of varnish, and didn’t bang into too many trees, the varnish will last years. The more it is covered and protected from the elements the longer it will last. If it starts to lift or peel, then time to refinish.

Grease the trailer wheels, tire pressure, check the lights and hitch, look at battery connection and lack of case cracking, air the cabin out, hit the road!

Thanks, rovineye. I have to do some repair on a hinge, but I’m glad I don’t have to do a whole camper refinish yet.
