Mounting the Trailex requires four risers that allow it to clear the butt block. Are these included in the kit? I can’t find any if they are. It will be easy to make them myself, but I thought I should ask before bothering.
Also, the manual neglects telling you to seal the risers in epoxy just like all the other wood parts (they skipped it other places too, like the hinges and especially the holes in the hinges). Anyway, I definitely plan to seal them–plenty of water will be splashing up under there.
I think nobody who ordered a Trailex got risers. When I insisted I didn’t have any CLC looked into it and and said ” we know you don’t have risers and we’re sorry we took so long to tell you” They said they’ll send me a set with pads. The correct ones are STARBOARD, not wood. I think that they thought Trailex was going to make them.
