Mahogany veneer

I am considering ordering the complete Teardrop kit or plans but have a question…

Have access to many sheets of 1/8″ 4′ x 8′ mahogany veneer (these from a builder who used to sheath runabout foredecks).  If I could epoxy- laminate the veneer over some 3MM okoume ply (vs. the provided 4MM sheets in the kit), I wonder if this would take the bend in the jig?  I doubt laminating the veneer to the 4MM plywood would make the bend… (?)

Has anybody done anything similar?

Veneering flat panels isn’t a problem. If you’re concerned about bending veneered panels, you always have the option of vacuum bagging the panels after the shell is assembled.
