Has anyone built the trailer box?

If so would you be kind enough to tell me the tough dimensions?  I know the sides curve slightly inward toward the front, and I see that the front is slightly bowed.  I like the wood look but budget won’t allow for the CLC kit.

also–is the plywood for the box 6mm, 9mm, or combination?  the hymnal does say that the flanges are 18mm.

Rough dimensions as I can get them, box is wet right now.

Sides 6mm, bottom 9mm, lid something around 11 12 or 13 mm.

Base of box is:

width; 31 1/2″ at front, 34 at back

depth; 22″ at sides, 25 1/2 at middle

Top of of box is:

width; 30 1/2″ at front, 33 at back

depth; 22″ at sides, 23 at middle

height 19 1/4″

rovineye–a followup:  how wide is the piece called “top”–the rim that goes flush with the sides/front/back that the box flange attaches to?  and is it 11/12 mm thickness?

Looks to be 11mm, but kind of hard to tell with all the sanding and epoxy layers. I sure don’t remember.

The top rim is about 1 1/2″ all around except 2 1/2″ at back corner radius and 2″ at front corner radius.

thanks for the info on the rim dimensions.

I’m wondering about the drainage holes.  it seems like they invite road spray and dust/dirt, and if I were to gasket the lid, very little to no water will intrude from the top which would need to be drained out.

what has been your experience?
