Door striker plates

  I got tired of the door latches rubbing on wood, so I used some thin aluminum bar stock to fashion striker plates for each door.  The plates are about 4” x 1”.  They need to be mounted high enough to allow for the full swing of the door latch.  The project took about 30 minutes.

I too did the same modification with a couple of 3″ stainless steel mending plates.  Honestly the CLC hardware kit should include a couple of strike plates.
