Do you happen to remember the hardware you used for this? I’d love to order the same handle/lock but I’m having some trouble finding it. Also, does the hatch feel secure enough with just one latch point?
Hi! I’d love to show you the teardrop. It’s almost complete but currently residing in Bend (I’ve been in Africa since August and my dad was very kindly storing it for me) I’m back in the states now and planning to bring it home and get the final touches done in early October.

Thank you! That makes total sense. Did you find that finish easier to work with than varnish? I’m assuming there are fewer fumes and it’s a little less expensive. Any other benefits?
