Hi Guy’s    I did a bit of work on the TearDrop, I decided to put a Compass Rose Inlay on the Galley Hatch

And installed

Got a day off today I am up to 32 strips installed 6 to go

Hi Guy’s  I have 12 strips installed  untill now, I don’t have much time to work on it because of Christmas.

I will be gluing all of the strip to each other and stapling them to the mould until they dry. After everything is dry I will remove the staple exept for the ones on each side were the side panel will be tied with wire , and in the center the top vent is going to be .  after that I will cover all of the roof wil fiberglass not only 3 inch strip.

This morming I tape with masking tape all of the edge of the mold to prepare the receiving of the cedard strip. I dry fited one strip to the mold, and deceded to add to the molds some crossmember

I worked on it yesterday,  There is a lot of wood dust to pick up this mornin in the shop, I cut 40 strips of red cedar out of the plank.

Here is the first cut strip, stil 39 to go.

Next step on the strip planing , bed an cove

Hi Ken,   It wont be made out of plywood for the cedar part , it is going to be made out of 6 mm cedar strip , I bought two  2 x 10 x 13 feet long plank of cedar yesterday , if tie permits I will Start cutting the today.
