ParticipantI’m sorry to see that this happened to someone else. The galley is definitely a week point on this camper. I have my battery mounted under the floor and had my galley loaded with normal camping stuff. A cooler and a 5 gal water jug which weighed much less then my battery and had the weight dispersed over a larger area. I though I was safe. This winter I plan to reinforce that seam with a tape on the inside. I will still load the galley lightly in the future. It is disappointing that the galley floor is so weak. You loose a lot of utility having to load lightly.

ParticipantI was wondering the same thing. Swirling air behind a vehicle can push water and dust into any gap.

ParticipantI like that they say CANADA on the side. Gives my camper an international flair.

ParticipantMy battery is under the camper so I just attached my solar with the clips that came with the solar kit. It lives stowed in the tongue box when not in use. A wise person over at tnttt.com mentioned that you want your camper in the shade and your solar in the sun. It also allows for positioning the solar for optimal charging and the camper for optimal use. You do lose the “Look how green I am” cool factor when going down the road. Mounting your solar on your camper is somewhat counter productive. I have now added a pigtail with a plug at the rear of the camper to attach my trickle charger and my solar to make things easier. I will try to find some pictures.

ParticipantI stopped taking a charger on trips. My 50w solar keeps me charged and I find little opportunity to charge with 110v on the road.

ParticipantI cut a sloppy under sized hole, glued and clamped the spacers, and then routed the opening with a flush bit.

ParticipantI had it in mine also. I just assumed assumed it was a design element that missed the mark and was too insignificant to go to the trouble to remove. Thickened epoxy hides all.

ParticipantBTW. the brackets are made from “drop off” I removed from the trailer side rails.

ParticipantThe battery is a sealed agm unit. I am not too concerned about having my electrical out of the elements. None of the cars or airplanes I have worked on had electrical out of the elements.

ParticipantA couple changes to the camping “rig”. Aluminum 5 spoke wheels and a tongue box.
