ParticipantWe made a post and we appreciate all the responses. We used the nail clipper idea from Daniel to clip it short and they sanded smooth with 120 grit on a random orbital sander.

ParticipantWhen we moved the mold we noticed there were copper stitches stuck and these needed to be cut and sanded or removed

ParticipantNot cut the wire stitches too close when removing the mold from camper shell that I can try to heat them up possibly with a battery or torch to pull them out of epoxy.
I ended up cutting them close with a nail clipper and sanding them smooth. Would’ve been cool to try to remove them instead.Cabreraw
ParticipantAlso, needed to remove some of the fillet where the bulkhead meets the cabin walls because the floor has notches where it fits and the fillets stopped the cabin floor from being flush with cabin walls

ParticipantI didn’t measure but I removed a little from the front left cabin floor to install it with a planer and rasp. Could’ve been 1/4-3/8”. I’ve read somewhere that 1/2” is still pretty accurate for a build this big. I’m still building mine, I hope someone with more experience comments for you 👍.

ParticipantAbout to sand floor after 2nd coat & install it, wish me luck 🤞

ParticipantAfter 1st epoxy coat it looked like sandpaper. Waited 24 hours and sanded with 80 grit and applied 2nd coat. I’m guessing it soaks in at first and tops it off the 2nd time.

ParticipantInside shim holds galley flat flush with trim. Hope masking tape keeps epoxy clean.

ParticipantInstalled bulkhead, hatch stiffener, and galley hatch trim. Tried to make it plumb. Later when I installed galley flat, 1/16” was removed along this trim so the flat could fit inside of it.
