ParticipantWheel diameters not the reason for all the failures we see on the road side rather lack of maintenance. With the Northern Tool 5 x 8 the biggest wheel/tire you can fit without changing anything is a 175/80R13. Anything larger you will be moving fenders up and risk rubbing the frame

ParticipantFunny i chose that exact trailer. Nice to see how it looks on it when done. You say there is only 56lb on the tongue. Thats about 10% and 10 to 15 is good. Had the same thought on springs. Tell me did you remove the short spring or unwrap the long one. I know the longer the spring the softer the ride. Short ones are stiffer.
One more question… the wheels look nice did you go with a larger wheel tire combo.

ParticipantI have no words… I don’t know weather to call you a craftsman or an artist. The wood burn the light housings. I really like the mod to the galley lid becoming the transom. That is incredible work. I am only on step 1… opening the boxes LOL.

ParticipantSo you put door stiffener on before cutting out the doors. I have not read the book… winging it…. kidding picking up my kit next weekend and the engineer in me is hoping to address common problems as i build. Like doors springing flat when cut out. One thought is and extra layers of glass material on sides. 2 total on outside like on the top and one inside. Thoughts?
