About a year ago I thought I heard from the fine folks at CLC that there were plans to upgrade the forum platform used here. I hope they get to it eventually. The number of posts I’ve written only to be “lost” and never show up have been many. It just happened again.
If anyone out there in CLC land is reading — I’d be happy to assist however I can.

Agree that would be a great upgrade.
This is the software that runs a more ‘modern’ forum that I frequent: https://www.discourse.org/
It seems to work well. No idea how complicated it is on the back end, and not skill set I have myself.
