ParticipantWe made a post and we appreciate all the responses. We used the nail clipper idea from Daniel to clip it short and they sanded smooth with 120 grit on a random orbital sander.

ParticipantSo we prepped the shell, filled the seams, sanded and cleaned the surface with denatured alcohol before covering it with fiberglass

ParticipantWe decided to do the whole thing at once. There is an option to do roof and walls separate.

ParticipantWe taped the openings to prevent drips onto floor and covered it with plastic. The runs from flipping the camper have long cured into sharp edges and tips. I found that out quickly when rubbing the tape.

ParticipantAfter 1st coat and trimming overhang. Those trapped bubbles aren’t a joke. A lot of elbow grease and attention to detail.

ParticipantIt’s been a while some old and new pics. Making these cuts were hard. I used a Dremel ultra-saw

ParticipantThe roof top vent was straightforward with the help of some weights

ParticipantFlipping it was fun. My wife and I have some Jiu jitsu mats we rolled the camper over on top of and then folded and used to cushion the vent mount. We set a saw horse under the galley and shimmed it to level

ParticipantReally wished my seams looks a bit better but it works after sanding some spots and installing the hinges

ParticipantSorry wrong name for suspension. The correct name is Timbren Industries ASR1200S04 – Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspensions. I ordered all these parts a year ago and just now getting to this part. Full time work and full time school. Turns out the wheel hubs and tires from etrailer won’t fit this spindle. Found a Carry-on trailer 545T hub kit and it fit perfectly.

ParticipantHave to tinker with lights later. Looks like I might have space for bigger tires. These are Carry-on 48012T 4:80X12 TIRE AND WHEEL
5-LUGS ON 4.5” BOLT PATTERN. Might keep them as spares and get the bigger wheels since i still haven’t mounted fenders yet.April 30, 2022 at 4:55 pm #4301Cabreraw
ParticipantGot the lights to work and set the camper on top. Not bolted down yet. Thinking about leaving the extra in the back. The end of the trailer is even with the galley hasp block. Will be a bit for an update, back to work and school.
